Not that this has come as a great surprise to anyone who has been paying attention to Detroit, but the city has officially filed for bankruptcy. It's sad, and it's going to to felt by many, but hopefully...hopefully, Detroit has finally hit bottom. If so, the only way to go is up.

Another storm passed through town, and it was impressive, with many strikes per minute. Fortunately I was ready and captured quite a few nice lightning strikes.

Recently Denver has had a few big storms roll through with impressive displays of lightning. Fortunately, I live close to City Park, giving me quick access to great panoramic viewing during such storms. Additionally, I get cover from the rain and lightning, while still having a great vantage point for photography. Here is one of the images with both the downtown skyline, and some impressive lighting strikes.

Grinnell Place Lofts
I just received an email from the popular website, Grinnell Place Lofts development, in Corktown. It's always been a popular image, and it's easy to see why. Who wouldn't want a place like that? The interior was done by McIntosh Poris Associates of Birmingham, Michigan.
The image is not new, but it is new to the website. Most of the attention I've received over the past few years has been for my project, 100 Abandoned Houses, so it's rather nice to be noticed for something else.
